Chef Gennaro Iannaccone along with his longtime cohort Andrea Coppola (DIVA Restaurant, Cafe Goodfellas) have created Brunello’s Ristorante…a journey through Italian food, wine and culture.
After one of his many voyages through Europe, Gennaro came across a bottle of 1955 brunello di montalcino, “the wine of the century”. Since obtaining this prestigious bottle of wine and after an extensive stay with Andrea in the Montalcino countryside together they realized that although the food takes center stage during a meal, it is truly emphasized and bought to life by the wine and culture in Italy. It was at that time they had a vision to create Brunello’s Ristorante…a place where people could enjoy a true Italian culinary experience.
After a much contemplated and difficult decision to remodel and rename Chef Gennaro’s beloved Tenderloin Restaurant, in March of 2008, the vision of Brunello’s Ristorante began to take shape. Interior changes were made to create spaciousness. Wallpaper and curtains were carefully chosen to make each guest feel as if they were “in someone’s dining room in the Italian countryside”. Warm, neutral colors were selected to generate an inviting and comfortable feel. For a real authentic Italian experience, chairs and china were ordered direct from Italy.
The menu at Brunello’s is indicative of Chef Gennaro’s 25+ years of experience in the culinary arts (click here to learn more about Chef Gennaro). The cuisine is a testament to the passion Chef Iannaccone has with traditional Italian fare. He has created a menu that takes him back to his roots... Farm fresh, quality ingredients are paired with simple, pure Italian cooking. Reflective of its name, the wine menu at Brunello’s Ristorante is also a passion as well as a large part of the restaurant. Every wine (18 by the glass and 200 by the bottle) haven been chosen with care and precision to compliment the fine cuisine.
